The rooms are spread across two separate buildings, each of which boasts its own swimming pool and external space measuring half an acre. Each of the bedrooms can sleep two guests and comes with its own generously proportioned ensuite bathroom. As if that wasn’t enough, all the bedrooms at Chan Grajang feature ocean views, too, and four come with their own private decked area. In addition to the stunning areas for private relaxation, there’s a selection of spacious communal areas. The balcony is one of the top places to relax, either beneath the warm rays of the Thai sun or one of the awnings. Featuring four bedrooms, the main villa is home to an impressive upstairs sitting room overlooking the ocean. There’s also a well-stocked games room with a 3/4 size snooker table, darts board, bar area and board games. As if that wasn’t enough, there’s also a dedicated entertainment suite with a 50-inch plasma screen television. Other communal facilities in the main villa include the a gym, plus an outdoor sala that serves as the perfect place for a massage. Each of the buildings also comes with its own modern kitchen facilities. Uutside, the 22x5m infinity pool attached to the main villa is one of Chan Grajang’s main attractions. There’s also a 30 metre all-weather chipping and putting area on the lower lawn, offering hours of entertainment for kids.

Villa Chan Grajang’s team of dedicated staff is led by the villa manager and comprises four members. The manage speaks excellent English having looked after international visitors for over 15 years. You can guarantee that the villa will remain spic and span throughout your stay, thanks to the hard work and dedication of the resident staff, who are on hand at all times yet still maintain a low profile. The team also includes a professional on-site chef who is able to whip up a tasty array of Thai and Western delicacies. Guests can also make use of the property’s concierge service to help them arrange tours and activities in the local area. They will also be able to arrange in-villa massages, either to take place in the villa’s outdoor sala or in one of the spacious bedroom suites. If you’re travelling with children, babysitting services can be arranged upon request. Beach and pool toys are also available.

The interiors are modern in style, with clean lines and streamlined edges characterising the space. The property has been designed to make the most of the ocean views at all times, so guests can look forward to the eye-searingly blue Indian Ocean vistas forming the backdrop to their stay.

An eclectic mix of furniture has been chosen for the property, including unique pieces from Bali, China, the US and Thailand. Luxurious teak floors and lofty vaulted ceilings establish a sense of spaciousness, while enhancing the unmistakeably Thai feel at the same time. The Balinese outdoor wooden table, which seats 12, is one of the most impressive pieces of furniture in the whole property. The indoor dining room also features its own solid teak table, which enjoys view out over Surin Beach.
