Location

Praslin is the second largest island located (38 km²) of the Seychelles, lying 44 km (27 mi) northeast of Mahé. Praslin has a population of around 6,500 people and comprises two administrative districts: Baie Sainte Anne and Grand' Anse (Praslin). The main settlements are the Baie Ste Anne, Anse Volbert and Grand' Anse.

Located at 4° 19' 9" S /55° 41' 29" E, lies the island of Praslin, one of the 115 granitic islands in The Seychelles archipelago and the second largest island in the country, only a fifteen minute scenic flight over crystal waters or a one hour ferry journey from Mahé. Known as “Isle De Palmes,” Praslin National Park in the island's south contains the spectacular palm forest of Vallée de Mai. Divers love the ancient coral reefs off Praslin's shores.
