We stayed at Maan Tawan during November 2009 with our two children. The complex is well maintained, private and peaceful. All the rooms in our villa were extremely spacious and beautifully presented. The kitchen and laundry are fully equipped and the shopping service extremely useful. The pool shared by the villas was idyllic and the beautiful beach is just a walk across the road. The villa is a short drive or cycle from the village with its many bars and restaurants. Just perfect.

Maan Tawan is fantastically located just outside Laguna. Therefore all the facilities of Laguna are right on the doorstop, great choice of food, access to all the hotels, horse riding, etc. However, it's a very quiet and exclusive complex so you can get away from the hotel crowd whenever you want. The facilities in the villa are excellent and so is the pool. So it's a great spot for just chilling out. There's a great beach just across from the complex and we loved popping down to watch the great sunsets whilst having a late afternoon swim in the warm sea.

Maan Tawan is conveniently located next to the Banyan Tree in Laguna, close to the beach, and near to shops, restaurants and bars. The nearest beach (Bang Tao) is quiet and peaceful, there are some good "beach bars" there for local food and drinks, it has a very relaxed feel to it and there are not so many tourists at this end, which is a definite plus. If you walk a little further away from the apartment, you can go to Layan Beach which is also quieter and clean. As for the apartment complex, it has an excellent pool, it is surrounded by trees which provide welcome shade, and has a sala area too. It is never too busy so it is easy to sit near the pool. The apartment itself is well maintained, has all the amenities that you would require and is spacious. The bathrooms are a good size and toiletries are provided - shampoo/shower gel etc.. We have stayed there many times with my mother (now 84 years old) and son (now 11 years old) and both had a brilliant time. The apartment is a duplex but my Mum can still manage the stairs - slowly. Also the cleaning service has improved since we started going 95 years ago) and that is really good, the management seem to be a bit more switched on. I would highly recommend it!

Absolutely love this place. It was ten days away from the hassle and bustle of life in the city 10 days of pure rest and relaxation away from the maddening crowd. Was completely recharge after the stay and ready to attack the world again.

A very well looked after place in a top location for all the hotels and amenities. We will be back.

Had a great time at Maan Tawan. Great location 5 minutes from the beach and ten minutes from loads of restaurants. Facilities great, nice private area for sunbathing. Would recommend it to anyone.

Maan Taawan is located within walking distance of the quiet beach Bang Tao which is ideal for a couple or family. The villa is clean, spacious and has a tasteful thai interior with a lovely pool on the roof. Facilities are modern and well looked after so you can either eat in or stroll down to the beach. Recommend a car is hired so you can explore the island easily and also pop down to the shops and nearby restaurants overall maan tawan is ideal if you are looking for a chilled hassle free break
