The area around Angeles City in the northern part of the Philippines is locally known as a high class city, but the surrounding nature is at least just as attractive. The Mount and Lake Pinatubo offers some stunning views and several tour operators in the area can help with tour itineraries either by group with guide or independently. The area also features several world class golf courses.
Visitors to the Philippines must not miss the Banaue rice terraces, often dubbed the eighth wonder of the world. The terraces, one of the Philippines top attractions are said to have been carved by hand into the hill sides by the ancestors of the local indigenous Ifugao tribes and are 2-3000 years old. The Tubbataha Reef National Marine Park is home to some of the world's most unique and healthy coral reefs where an abundance of fish and other marine life such as sharks and turtles thrive. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and has also been nominated as one of the modern seven wonders of nature.
