So many fabulous beaches to enjoy


With over 7,000 tropical islands to choose from, the Philippines comes close to the top of the global list when it comes to stunning beaches. Boracay has long been a favourite for lovers of sand and sea, its shores swathed in white sand, kissed by crystalline waters. The island of Cebu also boasts more than its share of fabulous beaches, one of the best being the fine stretch of sand on Mactan Island, while for those inspired by the underwater world, Panglao is considered a diver's paradise, its offshore reefs protected by the nearby island of Bohol. Camiguin is also known as one the most beautiful beach destinations the Philippines thanks to its incredibly diverse topography, with inland forests hiding waterfalls, as well as hot and cold springs. Dakak is a secluded beach nestled on the tip of Northern Zamboanga and stretching some 750 metres fronting the Sulu Sea. The beach's powdery white sands are a fine example of the beachside beauty on offer around the country, its blue waters, teeming coral reefs, and spectacular sunsets all adding up to a true tropical Eden.

With so many fabulous beaches to enjoy, island hopping is a popular option for many visitors to the Philippines. Honda Bay boasts several idyllic palm fringed islands in the he Southwestern province of Palawan. Long stretches of white sand, a dramatic tropical landscape, quaint fishing villages and dense rainforests make this the perfect destination for nature lovers and adventure seekers. The province also boasts a number of well known dive sites and snorkellers can experience the colourful marine life without having to swim out too far. For those in search of absolute retreat, El Nido is often referred to as the last frontier. The El Nido-Taytay Managed Resource Protected Area is the largest marine sanctuary in the Philippines and boasts innumerable picturesque beachscapes, towering cliffs and a wide variety of tropical flora and fauna.
