Koh Samui Activities

Top class snorkelling and dive sites, as well as rock climbing, ATV trails and even a trapeze school

Some of the most popular activities on Koh Samui include safari trips to the island's numerous waterfalls. Namuang Waterfall1 and 2 near Nathon are probably the most famous due to their beauty and the small lakes that gather at the foot of the cascades. The name Namuang means purple and refers to the colour of the stone thats forms the waterfall. The Big Buddha statue on the north side of the island is also a popular attraction and a landmark as the 12 metre high golden Buddha can be seen from several kilometres away.

Around 28 kilometres from Koh Samui the Ang Thong National Marine Park offers one of the most beautiful archipelagos in Thailand. The 42 islands are made of limestone and covered with either thick untouched jungle, white sand beaches, fertile mangroves, waterfalls and hidden caves. The area is highly popular for snorkelling and diving and the inland saltwater lagoon called Emerald Lake can be seen from a view point on the peak of a nearby mountain.

Other islands off Samui include Koh Phangan, famous for its monthly Full Moon Party, but now also a major centre for sap and wellness. Koh Tao is another popular destination for adventure seekers with top class snorkelling and dive sites, as well as rock climbing, ATV trails and even a trapeze school.
